These terms cover your use of Sereno, a macOS app. Installing or using it means you accept them. If you do not, do not use it.

What Sereno is

Sereno reads your Slack conversations, decides which messages look like they need a reply from you, and shows them as a ranked list. It is a reading and ranking tool. It does not send messages on your behalf, and holds no Slack permission that would let it.

No fee, no warranty

Sereno is free, and provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Sereno decides what matters using a machine learning model. It will sometimes rank a message wrongly, and it will sometimes miss one entirely. Do not treat it as your only record of what you owe people. It is a helper, not a system of record.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed communications arising from your use of Sereno. That includes a reply you did not send because Sereno did not surface the message.

Your Slack account

You need your own Slack account, and you are responsible for having the right to connect it. Your use of Slack stays governed by your agreement with Slack and by your organisation's policies. If your workspace requires administrator approval for apps, get it. Sereno's access can be revoked from Slack's settings at any time, by you or by an administrator.

Slack is a trademark of Slack Technologies, LLC. Sereno is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Slack Technologies, LLC or Salesforce, Inc.

Weather data

The optional weather display comes from Open-Meteo and is there for decoration. It is not a forecast to make decisions on.

Changes, and ending use

These terms may change, and changes appear on this page with a new date at the top. You can stop using Sereno at any time by disconnecting Slack in Settings and deleting the app. Availability is not guaranteed, and the app may stop working if Slack or Apple change something it depends on.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
